STUDENT LIFE
At Chesterton Academy, we strive to create an environment where students experience the True, the Good, and the Beautiful. Students enjoy a cohesive, content-rich education. A broad exposure to many different disciplines helps students expand their interests and uncover hidden talents. Each year builds on the previous, so that by the end of senior year, our students are articulate, clear-thinking, well-rounded, and, very importantly, joyful individuals.

Catholicism is central to our mission. For this reason, every school day includes Mass. We teach theology out of the Bible, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and papal documents. Other important ways we live the faith include annual pilgrimages and retreats, modest and wholesome extracurricular activities, and sacred art and crucifixes adorn the hall and the classrooms.

Faith in Our School
Chesterton Academy’s House system is drawn from the 1,000 year-old tradition of Christian education exemplified in the colleges at Oxford and Cambridge. The Houses provide real, tangible community within the larger school, giving students the opportunity to take ownership, fulfill the call to leadership, and to cultivate the ideal conditions for virtue. Each House has a Senior prefect and a faculty advisor. Once in a House, always in a House. Siblings join siblings, and parents gather throughout the year for fellowship at House Dinners.

THE WHITE HORSE CUP
The Houses of Chesterton Academy are engaged in continual competition for the White Horse Cup, which is awarded each year to the House with the most points at the end of the year. The White Horse Cup is proudly displayed in the school’s trophy case. The winning House’s name is engraved on the cup each year to keep a record for posterity.

Baseball Club
At Chesterton Academy of Our Lady of Guadalupe we know that sports is a game, not a religion.
Athletics, properly ordered, teach valuable virtues such as teamwork and discipline, and being active is important for young men and women.
Clubs are initiated by students, and athletic teams are interest-driven. As our school grows, so will these extracurricular offerings.

Dances
Dances at Chesterton Academy are a vibrant expression of Cultura Vitae, celebrating friendship, joy, and community in a wholesome, uplifting atmosphere.

Each dance—from the Fall Dance to the Spring Formal—offers students a chance to connect, practice social grace, and build meaningful relationships within a culture rooted in respect and virtue.

These events foster a sense of unity and joy that reflects the fullness of life, making them cherished traditions in our community.

Lyceum
What is Lyceum? It’s Greek for leisure and learning time. Students at Chesterton Academy enjoy 20 minutes everyday to hold meetings, take advantage of tutoring or study hall, practice music, play games or just have social time.
