Chesterton Academy of Detroit announces Our Lady of Guadalupe Novena Campaign

Chesterton Academy of Detroit is pleased to announce its first annual Our Lady of Guadalupe Novena Campaign. Starting on December 3, the Board of Directors and Headmaster are inviting future parents, students, faculty members, benefactors, and others to join them in a novena to the school’s patroness, Our Lady of Guadalupe.

For nine days, participants will receive and email with a novena prayer, daily intention, and quote from G. K. Chesterton. The whole community will seek the intercession of Our Lady of Guadalupe for the success of the new school. The novena will culminate in a mass on the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe on 12 December.

“A mass of thanksgiving to Our Lord and Our Lady of Guadalupe will be a major event for our school every year,” said Headmaster Peter Ohotnicky. “It will also be an opportunity to show our gratitude to all the people who have and who are making this school possible.”

Participants will also be invited to make a recurring donation, one-time gift, or gift pledge to the school. “People have told us how excited they are about Chesterton Academy, and we have already benefited greatly from their support. This novena campaign in honor of Our Lady of Guadalupe will be a chance for all our whole community to join in prayers and giving for this great school.” said Board President David Miller.

Supporters may contribute to Chesterton Academy of Detroit through either a one-time donation or a recurring gift. By joining the Society of Our Lady of Guadalupe with a recurring monthly contribution, they will be remembered at a special mass that will be on the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Dec 12. Chesterton Academy of Detroit is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, and all gifts are tax deductible.
